You never know how or when God is going to show up in your life. Greg looks at Luke 1:26-38 and examines how Mary responds when God unexpectedly shows up in her life. I mean, God has chosen her to be the mother of Jesus so she was probably glowing with joy when an angel showed up, right? Luke 1:29 says Mary was “confused and disturbed…” Ha! A great reminder that it’s okay when we get confused and disturbed. Just be ready for God’s presence. He’ll take care of the rest.

The Christmas Season can be hard to get through but it also can be a season of hope. If you’re in a season of waiting, remember that the world had been waiting for the Messiah for a long time. When Jesus was born, HOPE was born. It was the end of a long, seemingly hopeless season. Take heart and be reminded that Christmas can be a season of HOPE. We are not consumed by the overwhelm. May the joy of the Lord be your strength.
