Faith starts with accepting Jesus as our Savior. It’s a choice. Bryan Mathison says “When you have faith in God, you don’t have to worry about the future. You just know it’s all in His hands. You just go to and do your best.” Jesus invites us to come as we are. We don’t have to have our lives together; we just have to surrender our lives to the One whom we can trust. God will open new doors if you keep your faith, trust in Him, and transform your attitude to be more like Jesus.

If you’re a Christian, you know that there is no such thing as an unlucky number. I say that because today, we are looking at 1 Corinthians 13:13. It says “And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.” When hitting that rewind button and reliving those sins you’ve tried to forget, remember that if you have given them to God, he has hit the delete button. There’s no longer any need for a rewind. Lay those sins down at Jesus’ feet where they are covered in love. See, 13 isn’t an unlucky number – in this case, it is full of faith, hope, and love!

Do you know what it is to fear? It might be of snakes or spiders or it may be a fear of the dentist! I don’t know anybody who doesn’t have a fear of something! The enemy loves to instill us with fear. Remember, fear is not from God! 1 Peter 5:7 says “Cast all your burdens on the Lord for He cares for you.” Let’s look at an acronym for F-E-A-R that will help us overcome it!

You don’t have anything going on in your life right now, do you? If you don’t, are you sure you’re breathing? Most everybody is either going through something, just went through something or you’re getting ready to go through something. Isaiah 55:9 says “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” We may not understand what God is doing at certain times and in certain seasons of our lives but we can be sure that He is on the throne and he loves us.

Did your parent ever rip off a Band-Aid? It would hurt for just a second but it sure beat the torture of slowly removing a well-stuck Band-Aid. Sometimes we are going through a storm and we feel like we are being tortured but Jesus reminds us to “Be filled with joy because I have overcome the world.” God cares for us and in order for him to increase, we must decrease. It may feel like a band-aid being ripped off but God’s got you. Trust Him.
