Isaiah 55:8-9 reminds us “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Trust God’s ways and thoughts. Did your parent ever rip off a Band-Aid? It would hurt for just a second but it sure beat the torture of slowly removing a well-stuck Band-Aid. Sometimes we are going through a storm and we feel like we are being tortured but Jesus reminds us to “Be filled with joy because I have overcome the world.” God cares for us and in order for him to increase, we must decrease. It may feel like a band-aid being ripped off but God’s got you. Trust Him.
