Tay Henderson found herself on her knees outside of Lighthouse Ministries after her husband’s death, when she says God called her to take over the executive director position for the organization. Michael’s Feet provides shoes for those in need. Rachel’s House is a home for women in transitional living. Dining with Dignity provides food. Greg talks to Tay about how you can get involved in helping feed, clothing, and nurturing Lexington’s homeless population.

Growing up 1 of 16 children, and the mother of five children herself, Tay knows a little bit about survival. Tay Henderson found herself on her knees outside of Lighthouse Ministries after her husband’s death, when she says God called her to take over the executive director position for Lighthouse Ministries. This organization feeds, clothes and nurtures the homeless population in Lexington, Kentucky. Greg talks to Tay today about some of the challenges the organization has faced through the pandemic and how God has always provided.

Your words and thoughts are more powerful than you think. Proverbs 13:3 says “Guard your words and you’ll guard your life but if you don’t control your tongue, it will ruin everything.” The words you speak can give life or can take life away. David asked God to put a guard on his lips.
Ephesians 4:29 says “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs that they may benefit those who listen.” This is not an easy task. Tune in to today’s broadcast for some encouragement!
