Is God Pursuing You?

Today Greg reminds us that there is nothing that can keep God from pursuing a relationship with you.  As verses 11-12 of Psalm 139 says, "I could ask the darkness to hide me and the light around me to become night, but even in darkness I cannot hide from you.  To you the night shines as bright as day.  Darkness and light are the same to you."

Work is Important to God

Greg wraps up the week on the topic of work.  Colossians 3:22-24 instructs us, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters."   If we apply this counsel to our secular work, we can't go wrong, even if you don't like the job.  Because you're not doing it for the 'human master' (aka 'your boss'), you are doing it for the Lord.

There is Strength in Surrender

Despite these challenging times, we can still Live our Lives as Agents of HOPE.  Greg reminds you that Jesus has your back.   You just need to surrender to Him; allow him to help.   Greg reviews the 4 takeaways from Romans 15:1-7 toward "Living Your Life for the Glory of God and the Good of Others."
1. Dying to Self
2. Admit it's hard to love your neighbor when we don't love yourself
3. You can't use past wounds not to love others - you must forgive
4. Remember your source of endurance and encouragement

It is Easier Said Than Done

The inspiration continues toward "Living Your Life for the Glory of God and the Good of Others."  Greg reminds us not to worry about tomorrow and that God is still on the Throne and will take care of you.  Life will have difficulties.  But like Jesus, you can get back up without judging knowing that God will handle it.

Treat Your Neighbor as Christ Treats You

Greg continues on the subject, "Living Your Life for the Glory of God and the Good of Others."   We need to remember that everyone is facing some type of stressful issue be it unemployment, Covid19 illness, back-to-school, violence, etc.  Be kind to one another as Romans 15:5-6 says, "May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our LORD Jesus Christ."

Find HOPE in Jesus

Today Greg talks on the subject, "Living Your Life for the Glory of God and the Good of Others."    As Roman 15:4 says, "For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope."    During this time of dealing with Covid-19, we must make it our responsibility to find HOPE.  Don't wait for others to give you hope.  Hope is with Jesus!

Discomfort is Only Temporary

Greg continues his conversation with "Mr. Enthusiasm," Tommy Lanham.  He shares his enthusiasm about how to create comfort when you're uncomfortable.  Remember, 'Change is Inevitable, Growth is Optional."  You need to make adjustments when change happens.  If we don't, we don't grow.  If change is inevitable, why not make your changes intentional.  If you grow by intention, you'll see there is no growth without change.  But there can be change without growth.  It's just a matter of your intention.
